Replicating the feats of the previous batches, this year's Law Debate Team won the seventh elimination round of the Square Off Season 10 held Friday, 23 January 2014, and aired over ABS-CBN News Channel this weekend.

The episode resolved the matter of "Court of Appeals' decision denying Carlos Celdran's appeal violates his rights to freedom of expression." PLM law dean Ernesto Maceda Jr. said that the PLM Law Debate Team was assigned the affirmative side against Araullo University.

PLM law student Pamela Luz Ortiz was adjudged Best Speaker by the panel of judges. Brian Michael Balio shared the spotlight for topping the Square Off's online poll for best speaker. Balio, also of the PLM Law Debate Team, was twice selected as best speaker in the elimination and quarter-final rounds of Season 8. Relson Moral completed the team line-up that pitted against an equally strong team from Araullo Law School.

PLM president Ma. Leonora Vasquez-de Jesus conveyed her congratulations over the Team's victory, even as she extolled the past records of the College of Law in the televised law debate as a positive indication of its future triumphs.

ANC's website describes the Square Off: The Firm Debates as "a television debate program that gathers top law school students and driving figures in Philippines society and brings them into intense debate about the most prominent and pressing issues that grip the socio-political landscape of the country."
