23 November 2010, 1st SMART Schools Conference: Leader in wireless communication honors the best scholars’ university of the nation’s capital city

SMART Phils. honors PLM with a special award in its national event at Mandarin-Oriental Hotel, 23 Nov 2010, in recognition of PLM's continuing efforts to innovate the University, which efforts are now etched in the history of innovative wireless communication in the country.

Shown conferring the award are SMART’s top officials Orlando Vea (former president & chief wireless advisor), Napoleon Nazareno (president & CEO), and Danilo Mojica (director & head of wireless consumer division), as Ramon Isberto (spokesperson & head of public affairs) looks on. Receiving the plaque on behalf of PLM is Garry Erwin de Gracia (IT director & PLM’s manager for innovative projects) who spearheaded the recent aggressive modernization of PLM. Isberto (left) publicly acknowledged that he is a proud PLM alumnus.

PLM is distinguished to be conferred a red-carpet VIP status at the front row along the ranks of the bigwigs of SMART’s top executives and its special foreign industry partners. Only UP-Diliman, Ateneo and PLM have clinched that rare privilege.
