PLM Pride Hall Opening

16 March 2009

The Public Affairs and Information Office (PAIO) announced the opening of the PLM Pride Hall on Monday, 16 March 2009, 3:30pm. The Pride Hall showcases the symbols of the landmark achievements and contributions to quality education of the founders, faculty, staff, students, and alumni of the University.

The Hall serves to uplift the morale of the members of the PLM community and enhance their sense of pride and commitment to maintain the tradition of the University as an exemplary institution of higher learning.

The PLM Pride Hall is the silo of all recorded feats and achievements of the Pamantasan community, serving as the endless epitome of the academic excellence that is inherent in the establishment of the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila.

The Pride Hall is intended as the proper niche for the perpetuation of the success stories that brought more luster and brilliance to the flame of excellence that has been the unceasing beacon of the developmental thrusts of PLM. This Pride Hall likewise serves as an endless tribute to the indomitable quest of the Pamantasan community to continuously transform PLM to its present deserved status and beyond. It showcases the PLM students' brilliant triumphs in inter-university contests and quiz shows, and institutional leadership trainings where they have reaped the winning positions and brought honors and prestige to the name of Pamantasan, thereby gaining more recognitions for PLM in the community of universities and well-meaning organizations.

A brainchild of USec Marisol DL Anenias and EVP Ernesto P. Maceda, and supported by President Adel A. Tamano, the PLM Pride Hall was established and launched by the Office of the University and Board Secretary in cooperation with the Public Affairs and Information Office (PAIO), the Information Technology Center (ITC), and other offices.
