2015 June 16, Justo Albert Auditorium: Golden Anniversary Lecture Series inaugural lecture, "In the Name of Peace"
Celebrating its 50 years as the cradle of future heroes and the bedrock for the fermentation of essential ideas, PLM unveiled its Golden Anniversary Lecture Series to bring more luster to its character of fashioning the intellect and expanding the horizons of its scholars.
The inaugural lecturer is no less than the senator-son of the then-Senate President (later President) who was instrumental in the establishment of PLM, through Republic Act No. 4196: Sen. Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr.

Their fathers' sons: Senator Bongbong Marcos is welcomed by PLM Law dean Ernesto Maceda Jr. The latter's father, then-Executive Secretary Ernesto M. Maceda, served the former's late father in Malacanang Palace in mid-1960s. His Excellency Ferdinand E. Marcos, through Executive Secretary Maceda, conveyed the lot on which PLM stands to the City of Manila through a Deed of Conveyance of Real Property dated 1970 February 09, as earlier ceded through Presidential Proclamation No. 392-A.

Dr. Oliveros delivered a pre-lecture orientation on the history and cultural perspectives of Muslim Mindanao, while Dean Maceda explained the rationale of the Golden Anniversary Lecture Series, as well as introduced the guest of honor and lecturer.
