University Charter

PLMThe University Charter is the basis for the foundation and existence of the University. This Congressional Act, passed by both the upper and the lower Houses, was approved by the President of the Republic of the Philippines.

The University Charter is the bible of PLM. It is the source of authority for the governance of the University. The Legislative branch of the National Government has conferred upon the Board of Regents the exclusive power of corporate governance, including the authority to determine and fix its official acts as expressed through Board resolutions.

Originating from House Bill No. 8349 in the House of Representatives of the Congress of the Philippines and consolidated with the Senate version, the University Charter was enacted into law upon the approval by the Philippine President as prescribed by the Constitution.
