Educational Attainment
Dr. Biag earned her Biology degree at the University of Santo Tomas in 1992 and went on to pursue her Doctor of medicine and surgery course at the same university which she finished in 1996. She finished her Master in Business Administration in 2010 at the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila and is currently pursuing her doctorate degree in the same university.



Medical Practice
After passing her Physician’s licensure examination in 1997, she had her 5-month residency training at the Makati Medical Center’s internal medicine department (Oct 1997 to Mar 1998). A year after, she started her professional work at the Philamcare Health Systems, Inc. (1999 to 2001) where she became a Clinic Operations Manager. From June 2002 to March 2004, she taught at the Our Lady of Fatima, and in the interim served as part-time lecturer at the Centro Escolar University (June 2003 to March 2008), the Far Eastern University (April 2004 to March 2008), and at the ICSEC Kaplan (2006 to 2007).

While serving as part-time lecturer, she served briefly as co-terminus Private Secretary II at the Office of the Vice Mayor, Pasay City Hall (Nov 2006 to May 2007), and eventually taught as part-time assistant professorial lecturer I at the PLM College of Medicine (July to December 2007). She was eventually admitted as temporary full-time assistant professor I in December 2007 where she was designated as the College of Medicine’s college secretary on even date, and subsequently as assistant dean in November 2008 until 27 August 2009.

Designation and Appointment
On 28 August 2009, while serving her first year designation as coterminus assistant dean, with an appointment of Assistant Professor I at the College of Medicine (she was a college secretary of the same college before that), Dr. Biag was designated as officer-in-charge of the Office of the Secretary of the University and of the Board of Regents. On 09 February 2010, the Board designated the then OIC-President as Acting President effective 01 December 2009, enabling him to appoint Dr. Biag retroactively as University Secretary I effective 21 December 2009.

She was relieved from her post as Secretary of the University and of the Board of Regents upon the assumption of her successor, Atty. Carlos M. Carlos, University Secretary II.
